Secluded Desert Retreat in Scottsdale Offering Luxury and Unrivaled Amenities

When I visit new cities, I typically lean towards hotels for their familiar comfort and convenience. There’s something to be said for the predictability of a well-appointed room and the attentive service that many luxury hotels provide. However, on my first trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, I decided to step outside of my usual routine and try something a bit different. A group of golf friends decided to stay in a luxury vacation rental.

From the moment we arrived at the HÓZHÓ Main Estate at Lone Mountain, it was clear that this choice was more than just a change of pace—it was an entirely new way to experience a destination. 

The property offered the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and immersion into the local culture. Every detail, from the spacious floor plan to the resort-style amenities, added a sense of exclusivity to our stay, making it a standout experience in my travels.

Exceptional Amenities: Luxury Inside and Out

From the moment we walked in the front door, it was clear that privacy was not going to be an issue. We had chosen a property with a sleeping capacity of 28. This can often be misleading, with some rentals stuffing a cache of twin-style bunk beds into an open area to fudge the true dimensions of the space.

In our case, the HÓZHÓ estate had 11 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms, ensuring that each member of our party had their own cozy nook. There were even a couple of rooms left over. Each room was equipped with plush bedding and designer-inspired furnishings. No two rooms were the same, with each offering unique views and architectural dimension that our travel party appreciated.

On top of the impressive dimensions, the luxury vacation rental amenities at our property were second to none. Our particular rental had a gym, office, movie theatre and game room with foosball, billiards, and a shuffle board table. While we did not utilize these features as much as we could have, there is no doubt they would have come in clutch had our stay been a little longer.

The kitchen featured an impressive island, a wide array of cookware, and the most modern appliances on the market. We did not spend a ton of time cooking ourselves–for a few of the evenings, we decided to indulge in a concierge private chef experience.

We were all excited about the backyard pool and lazy river to relax in the Arizona sun after our rounds of golf. What we were not expecting was the resort-style ambiance that our backyard provided. With a lazy river, hot tub and shaded sitting area for when we were ready to dry off, it honestly felt like we should be paying a cover charge just to access the backyard features of our rental. There was even a putting green for golf enthusiasts to enjoy, although nobody in our party could pull themselves out of the water to give putting a try. 

Where Luxury Meets the Fairway

The sprawling estate was located in one of Scottsdale’s most prestigious communities, with stunning views visible through most of our windows. Despite the feeling of exclusivity that our HÓZHÓ rental provided, it was still just a few minutes away from many of the best golf courses in Scottsdale. As avid golfers, we found the proximity to renowned courses like TPC Scottsdale and Troon North particularly appealing, making it easy to indulge in some unforgettable rounds of golf during our stay. The property’s serene ambiance also made it the perfect retreat after a day on the greens.

I could keep going on and on about how impressed I was with the HÓZHÓ Main Estate property. It truly enriched the experience in many ways and will definitely be at the top of my accommodations wish list the next time I am visiting Scottsdale or any other attraction in the Phoenix metro area.
